VCL Encore Auditions
This September, VCL Encore launches in Northampton – a new performance company for ambitious actors aged 13–18 who want to develop their craft, work on challenging contemporary material and gain experience of a professional rehearsal and production process.
NATIONAL THEATRE CONNECTIONS 2027
Our first company will take part in National Theatre Connections 2027, rehearsing towards a performance at Royal & Derngate, Northampton.
Between October '26 and April '27, across 50 hours of contact time, performers will develop acting technique, character, movement, ensemble work and the discipline of taking a production from first rehearsal to performance.

We're looking for young actors who are committed, curious and ready to work. If you're considering drama school, professional training or simply want to push yourself further as an actor, we want to meet you.
Auditions will be held on Wednesday 23rd September 2026, you'll need to attend from 6pm through to 8pm. On booking you will receive a confirmation email with details on what to prepare.

Additional rehearsal caveat: As we approach our Home Performance and Royal & Derngate performance, additional rehearsals may be required depending on the needs of the production and the confirmed festival schedule. Where additional sessions fall outside the 25 sessions included within the programme, a minimal additional fee may be required to contribute towards venue and staffing costs. Any additional dates and costs will be communicated in advance.
PERFORMANCES
Performances (both our Home Performance and at Royal & Derngate Partner Theatre Festival) will be confirmed early on in the project, and will fall between final rehearsal and 4th April 2027.
