Get Ready to Rock Out in We Will Rock You!

This summer presents an exciting opportunity for young performers to break free and showcase their talents in the dynamic musical "We Will Rock You: Young@Part." This special adaptation of the iconic Queen musical is tailored for a younger cast and offers a vibrant platform for aspiring actors, singers, and dancers to bring the legendary music and story to life. Auditioning for this production can be an exhilarating experience, providing a chance to develop performance skills, make new friends, and be part of a high-energy show that celebrates individuality and the power of rock music.

VCL's Summer Youth Project is an excellent opportunity for your young performer to rehearse and perform in a full musical production this summer, from 4th August - 16th August. Auditions for our Primary storytelling roles have now taken place, however there is still space to become part of the Company with heaps to get involved in throughout the show - it's going to be amazing!

As well as two weeks of tuition, rehearsals, and performance, the project includes a free VCL show t-shirt!

Dates & Details 2025

• Rehearsal Week 1: 4th August - 8th August at Northampton High School

• Rehearsal Week 2: 11th August - 14th August at The Old Savoy, Northampton

• Tech & Performance Dates: 15th & 16th August at The Old Savoy, Northampton

• Daily Times: 10am-4pm (some extensions, in particular on tech and show days, will be required)

• Participation Fee: £250 (£225 sibling)

Who Can Take Part?

This invitation is open to all local young people aged 9 to 18, and aspiring performers who are passionate about the arts. Whether you sing, dance, act, or have another talent, we want to see you shine!

What to Expect at Rehearsals?

During the week of rehearsals, you will have the chance to work with experienced directors and fellow performers, develop your skills, and create lasting friendships, whilst building an amazing show. The final performances will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase your hard work to friends and family.

When will participation fees be due?

A deposit of £50 will be due when your space on the project has been confirmed. Remaining fees for the project can be paid in one go, or in instalments, prior to the course beginning (payment details and dates will be sent following registration).
