Audition to perform in Shrek: The Musical Jr!
We are excited to announce our second annual Summer Youth Project in Northampton, bringing everyone's favorite Orgre to The Old Savoy in our production of Shrek The Musical Jr. This vibrant adaptation of the classic animated film brings the enchanting story of Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey to life on stage, offering a fantastic opportunity for young performers to showcase their talent.
About the Production
Shrek The Musical Jr follows the journey of an ogre named Shrek who embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona. Along the way, he encounters a variety of colorful characters, including the witty Donkey and a host of fairy tale misfits. This heartwarming tale teaches important lessons about friendship, acceptance, and being true to oneself.
Participation Details
Who Can Participate: Open to young performers aged 9-18 (must be 9 years old by 03/08/2026).
Auditions: Auditions will be held on Sunday 26th April 2026, 11am to 3pm, location TBC in Northampton
Rehearsals & Performance: The project will take place in Northampton, every day from 3rd - 15th August 2026 including performances (participants must be available for all dates).
